Chan and Money at Registration

Chandler "Chan" Young and Kash "Money" Kruep are Kansas Champions.

Even though Chandler and Kash did not make it to the finals, I could not be more proud of those 2, very fine, young men! They fished their hearts out for the entire 6 hours on Saturday.

Art had nothing but praise for Kash's efforts and said "had he landed the 2, Two pounders, on his Berkley Jerk Shad, he would have won it!"

It took 1 fish in the 11-14 age group weighing in at 1.08 pounds to clinch the top seed for final round competition, Connor Mendenhall of Omaha, Ne. Claimed that spot.

Chandler did finish 2nd in his age group in the Central Region with 1 fish for 1.00 pound, which he caught on a drop-shot rig and was edged out by 3 fish for 2.12 pounds by Tyler Towers, Star City, Ar.
