How We Did It:

Matt and I worked together all week long and shared what we were doing with the others on our team to give Kansas the Best Chance of Winning the Overall first place prize.

During Pratice and drawing from 23 years of past bass fishing experience, enabled us to have the confidence to compete.

Matt would take one bank and I would take the other and vice-versa over the 4 days of trying to locate better quality fish.  Consistently we could not get good bites on fast moving baits, like your buzz-bait, Spinnerbaits, and crankbaits.  This left Drop Baits as a good alternative and set the course for our One-Two Finish.

This event was not for the Light Hearted, think of the most terrifying roller coaster and then make the ride last 25 minutes!  (special thanks to Matt for getting a good route up river)

100 foot rope any one?

I think I see his Drain Plug!

Even the best route had its "thrills and spills".

Special Thanks to Tim and Mary Peterson for allowing our Members to stay at their place.  (Mary we love our new puppy!)  If your ever in SpringField South Dakota, looking for some excellent Hunting  call Tim or Visit him at his website:  http://www.brokenwillowlodge.com/

What ever you do, "DO NOT" stay at the Wagon Wheel Inn, Springfield, SD: Take it from our teams experience; it isn't worth the trouble, terrible rooms, poor management, no parking.  It was laughable, our room was to have 2 double beds, I guess the Wagon Wheel Inn owners think that a fold out couch counts as a double bed???  (ohh my back, even worse they kept our money and we didn't even stay there)

Special Thanks to:

* Jon Stewart and the BASS Tournament Crew (Pattie, Eric, PeeWee) put on a great event again!

* Nebraska Federation for setting up a few extra bouy markers for the "Delta Region"  Very helpful.

* Kansas Team members - for sharing all they shared.
