(Jun. 08, 2009 - Lake Dardanelle, AR)... At launch, everyone thought it was an ATTACK OF THE MAYFLIES! Tens of thousands of mayflies had hatched overnight and had covered the marina ground, lights, boats, even us! The good thing was, they don’t bite. The locals thought that might have a positive effect on the bass fishing that day. If the mayflies were close enough to the water, the bass may be more active. But that didn’t seem to be the case by watching the weigh-in....either that or the bass were so full of mayflies they would not bite the anglers lures.

Tournament Site: Olathe Lake – Olathe Kansas
Date: May 9th, 2009
Tournament Hours: Safelight to 1pm
Water Temp: 66 degrees
Air Temp: 60 degrees
Age groups: 11-14 and15-18
What a great event again this year! Just like last year the rains came again, the day before the event and murked up the water, but not nearly enough. The bass were shallow and they were biting!
